Joel Corte [The Ransom Center’s First World War digital collection]

The Harry Ransom Center Archive from The University Of Texas at Austin organizes WWI Posters from the different major countries by date, language (including English translations), and subject. There are 120 posters in the archive that you can list in different ways. The posters deal with all aspects of the war from recruiting adverts to propaganda against their enemy. The archive allows for the posters to be organized by increasingly specific criteria. It is useful to organize the posters by country and by date to see the changes in the posters according to the current events in the war. Additionally, you can sort the posters by title to find what each country focused on during the war. Another useful tool is the options available to manipulate the image to better see the image. Each poster has a considerable amount of citation information; creator, date, description, subject, language, etc.
