Exploring Digital Archives

I searched an archive in the National Archives Catalog entitled World War II Posters, 1942 – 1945. The archive contained a wide variety of images of posters housed in the National Archives produced during the Second World War by the United States. Each archived image includes a page that has a large body of information including producer, time frame, and the current location of the physical object. However, there is no citation or additional background included with each image. The archive was essentially one vast webpage with all of the images listed in alphabetical order. The website did include an advanced search, which allows one to search the stockpile of images by keyword. I found this very useful in narrowing down the amount of information in the archive, which consists of over 2,800 images.
