UW Fri class meets virtually – on the Wp blog

Greetings, all.  Because of weather delays at my kids’ schools, I will not be able to make it to campus tomorrow (Fri). So we’ll have class on the WordPress blog instead. Do the readings and take good notes (this can include the sketch if you’ve already written it).

Then, starting at your class time, and for 50 minutes, go to the blog and carry on a discussion about those readings.  Do not create new posts. Instead, just add comments to my post.  I’ll start the discussion with a new post at 10:00, 11:30, and 1:00.

Make this as real a discussion as possible:  You must read all prior comments for your section and reply specifically to ideas from your peers.  Add to the conversation and build it rather than just posting disconnected thoughts. Bring in specific examples from Burke’s three assigned chapters to carry the conversation forward and challenge your peers to think.

The discussion will count as your sketch. There is no minimum number of comments, but I expect to see you all on there more than once and during the entire section time. (I might even call on you!) And by the way, if you are one who is shy speaking in class, this is your moment to let us have an earful.

I’ll be online for all three sections’ conversations. If there are any problems, you can also email me during class time.
